Aerosil 200 (Hydrophilic Fumed Silica) is a high-purity synthetic amorphous silicon dioxide produced through a flame hydrolysis process, creating an ultra-fine three-dimensional particle network with exceptional surface area and performance characteristics. Engineered for demanding industrial formulations, Aerosil 200 serves as an effective rheology modifier, thixotropy controller, thickening agent, anti-settling additive, and anti-sagging solution across coatings, adhesives, sealants, inks, silicone rubbers, composites, and specialty chemical applications.

Its unique particle morphology enables superior viscosity control and suspension stability, preventing pigment sedimentation and filler separation during storage while improving application consistency. The material enhances mechanical strength, improves flow behavior, and delivers excellent sag resistance in liquid systems. In powder formulations, Aerosil 200 acts as an efficient free-flow and anti-caking agent, improving handling, storage, and processing performance.

With a specific surface area of approximately 200 m²/g, average primary particle size of around 12 nm, and SiO₂ content greater than 99.8%, Aerosil 200 offers reliable performance, excellent dispersibility, and long-term formulation stability. Its versatility and proven effectiveness make it one of the most widely used fumed silica grades for industrial coatings, adhesives, sealants, plastics, printing inks, and advanced polymer systems.
