Dispersing Agents are critical industrial additives designed to streamline the pigment dispersion process during coating and ink manufacturing. By quickly adsorbing onto the surfaces of newly exposed pigment and filler particles, these agents replace trapped air and moisture with a robust layer of stabilizing molecules. Through steric hindrance or electrostatic repulsion, they prevent the particles from re-agglomerating (flocculating). This structural protection yields low millbase viscosity, optimal pigment loading capacity, and stable, uniform dispersion during long-term storage.

  • Water-Borne Inorganic Dispersants: Utilizing sodium or ammonium salts of polyacrylic acids, these polycarboxylate dispersants offer powerful electrostatic stabilization. They are highly efficient for deflocculating titanium dioxide, calcium carbonate, talc, and other inorganic extenders in flat to semi-gloss architectural coatings.

  • High-Molecular-Weight Polymeric Dispersants (HMW): Engineered for demanding organic pigments, carbon blacks, and high-performance industrial coatings. They utilize custom anchoring groups that attach to the pigment surface while secondary polymer chains extend into the resin matrix, creating a strong steric barrier that ensures ultimate gloss, transparency, and color depth.

Storage & Handling
