Chrome Pigments are synthetic inorganic pigments composed of lead chromate and related co-precipitates. Characterized by their vivid hue, exceptional opacity (hiding power), and high tinting efficiency, these pigments remain the industrial standard for applications requiring bright, cost-effective yellow and orange colorations that must withstand harsh processing conditions and high-temperature environments.

Available Varieties & Shade Profiles

  • Primrose Chrome (Greenish Yellow): Features a distinct greenish-yellow undertone. Offers the cleanest light-yellow hue with excellent initial brightness, widely used in specialized plastics and industrial enamels.

  • Lemon Chrome (Bright Yellow): Provides a balanced, vibrant lemon-yellow shade. It offers superior tinting strength and is heavily relied upon for machinery coatings and industrial signage.

  • Middle Chrome (Golden/Deep Yellow): Delivers a rich, warm golden-yellow color profile. It exhibits excellent weatherability and higher heat resistance, making it ideal for masterbatch compounding.

  • Scarlet / Molybdate Chrome (Orange/Red): Formulated as lead molybdate chromate to deliver brilliant orange-to-scarlet red hues with high color depth and clean saturation.

Primary Industrial Applications

  • Industrial & Maintenance Coatings: Essential for heavy-duty protective paints, agricultural equipment finishes, automotive refinishes, and marine coatings requiring dense coverage.

  • Road Marking Paints: Extensively used in solvent-based and thermoplastic road striping formulations due to its immediate visibility, bleed resistance, and durability.

  • Plastics & Masterbatch: Ideal for coloring engineering polymers, PVC pipes, polyolefins, and masterbatches where processing temperatures reach up to 200°C–240°C.

  • Printing Inks: Utilized in industrial screen printing, packaging, and gravure inks requiring high opacity and solvent resistance.

Storage & Handling

Store in original, tightly closed containers in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated industrial warehouse environment. Keep isolated from food items, acids, and strong reducing agents. As these products contain lead compounds, industrial handling should comply with local safety regulations regarding inorganic pigments. Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and batch-specific Certificates of Analysis (COA) are provided with every order.
