Wetting Agents are highly active surfactant additives designed to improve the interfacial contact between liquids and solid substrates or pigments. By positioning themselves at the fluid interface, these molecules dramatically reduce static and dynamic surface tension. This rapid action allows water-borne or high-solids formulations to coat low-energy, contaminated, or highly porous surfaces cleanly and uniformly, effectively avoiding typical application flaws while speeding up the industrial manufacturing process.

Available Technologies & Wetting Profiles

  • Substrate Wetting Agents (Silicone/Fluorocarbon Free): Utilizing acetylenic diol chemistry, these non-ionic agents provide exceptional dynamic surface tension reduction. They are unique in their ability to wet problematic or oily substrates at high speeds while acting as molecular defoamers, making them ideal for high-speed spray or roller operations.

  • Polyether-Modified Silicones: Organo-modified siloxanes designed for difficult-to-wet substrates like plastics, automotive plastics, and metal parts. They lower surface tension intensely, allowing maximum spreading and leveling while correcting surface craters, pinholes, and fisheyes.

  • Pigment Wetting Agents: Formulated to wet dry pigment clusters rapidly during the initial grinding phase, accelerating the replacement of air-pockets with liquid resin to minimize the required grinding time.

Primary Industrial Applications

  • Waterbase & Solvent Industrial Paints: Applied in automotive coatings, machinery finishes, and architectural wood topcoats to guarantee defect-free application over smooth or low-energy substrates.

  • Printing Inks & Overprint Varnishes: Essential for flexographic, gravure, and digital inkjet inks to achieve excellent dot reproduction, smooth leveling, and clean wetting on plastic packaging films and foils.

  • Industrial Adhesives & Sealants: Incorporated into water-borne and pressure-sensitive adhesives to ensure complete coverage and maximize contact area on bonding surfaces.

  • Fountain Solutions & Agrochemicals: Used to improve the spreading and coverage behavior of industrial fluids and spray treatments on treated materials.

Storage & Handling

Store in original, tightly sealed packaging within a cool, dry, and well-ventilated warehouse space away from extreme cold or direct heat sources. Keep containers securely closed when not in use to avoid moisture uptake or evaporation of carrier matrices. For solvent-containing variants, ensure compliance with standard local flame-safety and storage protocols. Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and batch-specific Certificates of Analysis (COA) are provided with every industrial order.
